ABOUT Eric Nelson

Attorney at Law

Eric S. Nelson is an attorney representing individuals who have been personally injured by the wrongdoing of others. Eric prides himself on taking the time to build a relationship with his clients and is passionate about finding fair results for them. His pledge is to give each client the care and concern that their personal injury case deserves. Over the last 30 years, Eric has been fighting hard to obtain justice for his clients and plans to do so for many years to come.

Eric is the owner of Nelson Injury Law, PLLC. He was born and raised on Capitol Hill in Seattle. He attended St. Joseph’s Elementary on Capitol Hill and O’Dea High School on First Hill.  He obtained his undergraduate degree from University of Washington in 1988. In 1992 he graduated with honors (cum laude) from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California. Eric returned to Seattle and began practicing law with his father, Richard C. Nelson, in 1992. Eric felt proud, fortunate and blessed to have practiced law with his father. It is something that he would like to do someday with one or more of his three children. Richard is now “of counsel” at Nelson Injury Law and is still enjoying the practice of law at age 81.

Although Eric practiced in a variety of legal fields early in his career, he quickly determined that his passion was representing those that have been injured and disadvantaged. Thus, he began focusing his law practice on personal injury. In 2006, Eric was named a “Rising Star Super Lawyer” in the field of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury by the Washington Law & Politics Magazine. After continuing to excel in his field, in 2010 Eric was recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in the field of Plaintiff’s Personal Injury by the Washington Law & Politics Magazine.  In 2011, 2012 and 2013 Eric was again bestowed the honor of being named a “Super Lawyer” by the Washington Law & Politics Magazine. Eric is licensed to practice law in Washington State and the United States District Court, Western District of Washington. He is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, American Association of Justice, and Washington State Association for Justice (Eagle member). He has also served as a King County Superior Court Arbitrator on numerous occasions.

Eric is not only passionate about his work, but he is also passionate about his family. Most of his spare time is taken up with activities involving his children, his siblings and their families (four brothers and one sister), and his parents (still on Capitol Hill). He also manages to participate in his sports, primarily basketball and tennis, which have been a major part of his life. Despite his busy schedule, Eric still makes time to help others in need and is honored to serve on the board of Redeeming Soles and No Kids Left on the Sideline, a non-profit organization providing new and refurbished shoes to the homeless and underprivileged children (www.redeemingsoles.com).
